Confidentiality

Understand our commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding the privacy and sensitive information of authors, reviewers, and participants. We adhere to strict protocols to ensure all submissions and reviews are handled securely and with discretion. Trust in a publishing process that values and protects your confidentiality.

AfAc Publisher maintains strict confidentiality throughout the editorial and peer review process. This includes:

  • Reviewer Confidentiality: Identities of reviewers are kept confidential from authors (single-blind review). Reviewers must not disclose their identities or contact authors directly without editorial office approval.
  • Manuscript Confidentiality: All details of submitted manuscripts, including content and reviewer feedback, are confidential. Reviewers must destroy all copies of the manuscript after completing their review. Unpublished information cannot be used for personal gain.
  • Editorial Communication: Correspondence between editors, authors, and reviewers throughout the review process is confidential.

Disclosure and Retention

  • Upon rejection, all copies of a manuscript are typically deleted from the editorial system. Author permission is required for retention.
  • AfAc Publisher will not share manuscript information with third parties before publication, except in suspected misconduct cases. Authors and reviewers will be informed if confidentiality is compromised due to alleged dishonesty or fraud.
  • Published manuscripts and related materials (reviews, revisions, correspondence) are archived for at least three years, potentially longer based on local regulations.

This comprehensive approach ensures the integrity and fairness of the peer review process, protects intellectual property, and fosters trust between all parties involved.
