Application Process
- Peer-reviewed academic journals published in Algeria can participate by completing the Application Form on the website.
- Only open access journals are hosted in AfAc Publisher.
- New journals may commence publication through AfAc Publisher by completing the same application form.
- Upon application approval, a Journal Website is created for each journal, and access credentials are provided to the Journal Manager and/or Editor for management.
- It is mandatory for hosted journals to include "Ethical Principles and Publication Policy" descriptions.
- AfAc Publisher assists in transferring archives to the journal’s new webpage and provides technical support as needed.
- Technical aspects such as system updates, development, and backup are managed by AfAc Publisher.
- Each journal has its own domain name and outlook but shares the same OJS platform infrastructure. However, customization of webpage design is allowed.
- Journal Managers can oversee the publishing process remotely using the OJS system.
- A "Participation Contract" is signed between AfAc Publisher and participating journals to safeguard mutual rights.
Important Information: AfAc Publisher is not an indexing system like Web of Science, SCOPUS, or DOAJ, and should not be mistaken for such systems. AfAc Publisher primarily offers an infrastructure to ensure compliance with international standards of academic publishing. This compliance is crucial for a journal's eligibility for inclusion in both national and international indexes.
